Reflexology
is a Foot Massage treatment that is recognised as a
Complimentary Medicine and is part of a group of Holistic
Therapy Tretaments. The aim of Reflexology is to
encourage the return of "Homeostasis", a state of
equilibrium and balance to the human body. The complete
human adult group can benefit from Reflexology treatments
which are manipulative of the foot area to treat
imbalances within the body and return all body systems to
good working order. Reflexology techniques can also be
practised on the hands and ears.
As with most
Holistic Treatments, the recipient's first visit will
include an in-depth consultation to establish a medical
history and determine the recipient's current problems.
Treatment usually lasts for approximately one hour. The
benfits of Reflexology treatment over a period of time
are Improved Circulation and Nerve Supply, an elimination
of Bodily Toxins, improved Energy Levels and a general
reduction in Stress Levels.
Reflexologists
are trained practitioners but DO NOT diagnose disease,
treat for a specific condition and NEVER prescribe or
advise on the taking of medicines. Reflexologists DO NOT
practice medicine or treat specific diseases.
Reflexologists CAN assist with the elimination of a
recipients problems by bringing the body back in to a
state of balance. Tender reflexes when manipulated by a
Reflexologist, indicate parts of the body that are
congested and out of balance.
